Insegnamento di COMBUSTION
Corso di laurea magistrale in INGEGNERIA PER L'ENERGIA E L'AMBIENTE
SSD: ICHI-02/A
CFU: 9,00
ORE PER UNITÀ DIDATTICA: 72,00
Periodo di Erogazione: Primo Semestre
Italiano
| Lingua insegnamento | Inglese |
| Contenuti | Stechiometria tecnica. Cenni di termodinamica di miscele e trasporto di materia. Fiamme premiscelate. Fiamme a diffusione. |
| Testi di riferimento | “Combustion”, K.K. Kuo, Wiley’s Interscience |
| Prerequisiti | Basi di Chimica, Termodinamica e Fluidodinamica. |
| Metodi didattici | Lezioni frontali. Teoria ed esercizi. |
| Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento | Prova Orale. |

English
| Teaching language | English |
| Contents | Technical stoichiometry of combustion. Short introduction on thermodynamics of mixtures and on mass transfer. Premixed flames. Diffusion flames. |
| Textbook and course materials | “Combustion”, K.K. Kuo, Wiley’s Interscience |
| Course objectives | Knowledge of the principles of combustion. The course teaches the combustion technical language and gives the ability to face different problems involving combustion reactions. Both premixed and diffusion flames are presented. The formation mechanisms of pollutants and their possible removal strategies are discussed. A technical approach is followed. |
| Prerequisites | Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Fluidodynamics. |
| Teaching methods | Oral lectures. Theory and exercises. |
| Assessment methods | Oral exam. |
| Other information | In addition to the examination dates scheduled and published at the beginning of the academic year, each student may request one additional examination session. To do so, the student must notify the professors by e-mail at least two weeks in advance, indicating the period during which they intend to take the oral examination. The exact date will then be agreed upon with the professors, subject to their teaching and institutional commitments. |
