DESCRIPTION:Il giorno 28 maggio 2025, a partire dalle ore 11:00, presso l'Aula 8B del Dipartimento di Ingegneria, si terrà, nell'ambito del Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria Industriale e dell'Informazione, in collaborazione con il CIRA (Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali), il seminario dal titolo "Metodi di diagnostica per il Plasma Wind Tunnel".\NThis presentation outlines advanced methodologies for hypersonic testing, focusing on the CIRA PWT Complex, including the Scirocco and Ghibli wind tunnels. It covers the test facilities, typical test campaign activities, and preparation of the instrumentation. Emphasis is placed on surface temperature characterization of test specimens using dual-color pyrometry, a key technique for thermal monitoring. The nozzle redesign in the Ghibli tunnel and the development of a dedicated calorimetric probe are also discussed. The presentation concludes with an analysis of numerical-experimental correlations for enthalpy determination, demonstrating the effectiveness of experimental approaches in validating numerical models
