Participating in the Erasmus+ Programme will not delay your studies or cause you to lose valuable time. On the contrary, it represents a unique opportunity to enrich both your academic and personal development. Here are six good reasons to take part.

La mobilità Erasmus+ di studio si realizza sempre in contesti noti e/o controllati poiché può svolgersi solo in atenei stranieri di alto livello, selezionati e convenzionati con l'Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
La scelta dell’ateneo straniero è rimessa a te, ma dipende anche da come ti classifichi in graduatoria dopo esserti candidato al bando di Ateneo per la mobilità Erasmus+. Peraltro, le sedi convenzionate sono così tante che se desideri andare in un paese preciso, ne avrai certamente la possibilità.
Il Dipartimento di Ingegneri offre ai propri iscritti prestigiose occasioni di studio all'estero, in quanto è convenzionato con molte Università. Dai un’occhiata al sito di Ateneo, sezione international ed alll'elenco degli accordi del Dipartimento di Ingegneria.
Where Can You Go?
Erasmus+ study mobility takes place in well-established and carefully selected academic environments. Students may undertake their mobility period only at high-quality partner universities that have formal agreements with the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
While the choice of the host institution is ultimately yours, the assignment of destinations also depends on your position in the ranking list following your application to the University's Erasmus+ mobility call. However, thanks to the large number of partner institutions available, students who wish to study in a specific country are generally able to find a suitable destination.

Come finanziarsi/Funding Your Mobility
Come finanziarsi
Lo studente che si classifica utilmente in graduatoria riceve una borsa di studio, e ha la possibilità di seguire corsi/tirocini e di usufruire delle strutture dell'Istituto straniero ospitante. Il Dipartimento di Ingegneria si impegna al riconoscimento del periodo di mobilità di studio all’estero in termini di crediti formativi.
L’entità della borsa di studio viene definita di anno in anno nel bando per la mobilità internazionale degli studenti. Particolari sovvenzioni sono previste per gli studenti con disabilità o situazioni di disagio economico.
Per coloro che non riescono a classificarsi utilmente in graduatoria e, quindi, che non riescono ad aggiudicarsi la borsa di studio, è comunque possibile partire in mobilità Erasmus+ autofinanziandosi. In questo caso si parla di mobilità Erasmus Free Mover. Lo studente free mover sceglie liberamente la sede di destinazione tra quelle convenzionate con il Dipartimento di Ingegneria e, previa autorizzazione, potrà ottenere il riconoscimento in Italia dei crediti formativi conseguiti all’estero.
Funding Your Mobility
Students who are successfully selected through the Erasmus+ mobility call receive a mobility grant and are entitled to attend courses and/or undertake traineeships while benefiting from the academic facilities and services provided by the host institution. The Department of Engineering is committed to recognising the study period completed abroad through the allocation of the corresponding academic credits within the student's degree programme.
The amount of the mobility grant is determined annually and specified in the University's call for international student mobility. Additional financial support may be available for students with disabilities or those facing economic disadvantage.
Students who are not awarded an Erasmus+ grant may still participate in an international mobility experience by self-funding their stay abroad. This option is commonly referred to as Erasmus+ Free Mover Mobility.
As a Free Mover student, you may independently choose a host institution from among those that have cooperation agreements with the Department of Engineering. Subject to prior approval, the academic activities completed abroad may be recognised in Italy and credited towards your degree programme.
Conoscenza della lingua/Language Requirements
Conoscenza della lingua
La mobilità Erasmus+, tra l’altro, ha lo scopo di far apprendere nuove lingue. Quindi, se non conosci lingue straniere puoi comunque partecipare al Programma Erasmus+, e puoi avvalerti dei corsi di lingua che l’Ateneo Vanvitelli e/o quello straniero ospitante organizzano per gli studenti in mobilità al fine di far acquisire loro le competenze linguistiche essenziali.
Chiaramente, se hai una certificazione linguistica riconosciuta a livello internazionale sei avvantaggiato perché, allegandola alla domanda di partecipazione al bando di mobilità Erasmus+, guadagnerai punti per posizionarti meglio in graduatoria.
Una volta all’estero, l’esperienza full immersion nel paese straniero ed il contatto con gli altri studenti ti aiuterà ad imparare una o più lingue straniere in tempi sorprendentemente brevi. Provare per credere!
Language Requirements
One of the main goals of the Erasmus+ Programme is to promote the learning of foreign languages. Therefore, even if you do not already have a strong command of a foreign language, you can still participate in Erasmus+ mobility.
To support students during their international experience, the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" and/or the host institution may offer language courses specifically designed for incoming mobility students, helping them acquire the essential language skills needed for study and everyday life abroad.
Naturally, holding an internationally recognised language certification represents an advantage. By including such certification in your Erasmus+ mobility application, you may be awarded additional points, improving your position in the selection ranking.
Once abroad, the full immersion experience in a different linguistic and cultural environment, together with daily interaction with local and international students, will enable you to develop your language skills rapidly and effectively.

Quali esami sostenere all'estero?
Prima di partire dovrai compilare un modulo, denominato Learning Agreement, nel quale fisserai con l’ateneo ospitante ed il nostro ateneo il tuo piano di studi, ossia gli esami che intendi sostenere all’estero. In linea teorica, puoi sostenere all’estero tutti gli esami inclusi nel tuo corso di studi italiano. Occorre, però, che tra esami italiani ed esami sostitutivi stranieri intercorra una sostanziale corrispondenza. Inoltre, potrai scegliere esami non erogati dal Dipartimento di Ingegneria come Esami a Libera Scelta (TAF D), purché coerenti col tuo percorso di Studi. La verifica di congruità va concordata con il Delegato Erasmus del Dipartimento, prof. Sergio Nardini. A lui dovrai chiedere autorizzazione rispettando le modalità definite nel “Regolamento Erasmus del Dipartimento di Ingegneria", che trovi qui in basso e che definisce i limiti che devi rispettare nella compilazione del Learning Agreement e tutti gli altri adempimenti. Puoi richiedere la modifica degli esami da sostenere all’estero anche in mobilità apportando una variazione al Learning Agreement, tramite il Delegato Erasmus.
Which Courses Can You Take Abroad?
Before your departure, you will be required to complete a Learning Agreement, a document that defines your study plan abroad and is agreed upon by you, the host institution, and the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
The Learning Agreement specifies the courses you intend to take during your mobility period. In principle, you may take abroad any course included in your degree programme. However, there must be substantial academic equivalence between the courses offered by the host institution and those included in your curriculum at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
You may also choose courses that are not offered by the Department of Engineering and have them recognised as elective courses (TAF D), provided that they are consistent with your academic programme.
The assessment of academic compatibility must be agreed upon with the Departmental Erasmus Coordinator, Prof. Sergio Nardini. Prior authorisation must be obtained in accordance with the procedures set out in the Erasmus Regulations of the Department of Engineering, available below. The Regulations define the requirements and limitations applicable to the preparation of the Learning Agreement, as well as the administrative procedures related to Erasmus mobility.
If necessary, you may request changes to your study plan while abroad by submitting an amendment to the Learning Agreement through the Departmental Erasmus Coordinator.

Students interested in participating in Erasmus+ mobility are strongly encouraged to carefully read the Departmental Erasmus Regulations, which govern international mobility activities within the Department of Engineering.
Departmental Erasmus Regulations
Students are also advised to consult the University's Erasmus+ Guidelines and to use the standard forms and documentation available on the University's website.
Upon completion of your mobility period and return to Italy, the recognition of examinations and academic activities successfully completed abroad must be requested in accordance with the procedures established by the Departmental Erasmus Regulations.
