Obiettivi formativi | La prima parte ha lo scopo di fornire allo studente i fondamenti delle principali problematiche connesse al dimensionamento ed all’esercizio degli impianti elettrici nei sistemi di prima (BT) e seconda (MT) categoria. Lo studente alla fine del corso deve essere in grado di interpretare gli schemi principali di una rete di distribuzione elettrica e di risolvere problemi di dimensionamento. |
Prerequisiti | Concetti di base di Elettrotecnica e macchine elettriche |
Metodologie didattiche | Lezioni frontali in aula tenute dal/i docente/i del corso con durata di 120 minuti. Il corso prevede lo svolgimento in aula di esempi numerici ed esercitazioni con l’ausilio del calcolatore. |
Metodi di valutazione | Colloquio orale con soluzione di problemi numerici ed interpretazione di schemi elettrici. |

Programma del corso | Generalità sui Sistemi Elettrici per l’Energia. Componenti di un Sistema Elettrico per l’Energia: generalità, caratteristiche costruttive e costanti primarie delle linee aeree ed in cavo; apparecchi di manovra e protezione. Modello delle reti in Regime Permanente Sinusoidale. Modello delle reti in Regime di Corto Circuito. Dimensionamento delle membrature. Il problema delle sovracorrenti. |

Course objectives | The first part aims to provide the student with the fundamentals of the main problems related to the sizing and operation of electrical systems in the Low Voltage and Medium Voltage category systems. At the end of the course the student must be able to interpret the main schemes of an electrical distribution network and to solve the dimensioning problems of its components. |
Prerequisites | Basic elements of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Machines. |
Teaching methods | Lessons of 120 minutes length are given by lecturers. The course provides for numerical examples and exercises carried out by means of personal computer during the lessons in the classroom. |
Evaluation methods | Oral examination with solution of numerical problems and interpretation of electrical schemes. |

Course Syllabus | General concepts on electrical power systems. Components of an Electrical Power System: basic concepts, constructive characteristics and primary constants of overhead lines and cables; switching and protection equipment. Model of networks in Sinusoidal Permanent conditions. Model of networks in Short Circuit conditions. Sizing of lines. The problem of overcurrents. |
