Testi di riferimento | M. R. Jones Introduction to Composites Materials |

Contents | The course provides the knowledge to use and apply the constitutive equations of polymeric and composite materials. The mechanical, rheological and thermal properties are examined in details. Literature models for predicting the behavior of materials when subjected to thermal-mechanical stresses are analyzed. The processes of manufacturing of these materials are studied and, finally, the influence that these processes have on the properties under operating conditions of the materials is analyzed. |
Textbook and course materials | M. R. Jones Introduction to Composites Materials |
Course objectives | The students after the course should know the main constitutive equations (stress-strain relations) able to describe the mechanical behavior of the polymeric and composite materials, and the behavior of the same materials as function of the temperature in rheological, enthalpic and volumetric terms |
